Summer time Blues
By Will

As I sit here writing this , a feeling of melancholy seems to have taken a grip on my mood. I for one will be glad to see the end of this Summer! Yes, I will miss the freedom of not going to work everyday, and the mid-week rides, but the Summer riding season has been long and hot. The Summer started off well enough with a ride to the Smokies with the Knights, but even that had a less than stella moment when a Knight got hurt
( lucky for all he is a tough guy and is well).
We also lost Scott this Summer, something that still weighs heavily on my mind. The rides were good for the most part, but hearing all the "suggestions" as to what I should do next time gets to be a challenge. Will next time:

1. we should leave earlier
2. we should leave late in the afternoon.
3. why did you cancel the ride it wasn't raining at MY house.
4. we should have canceled that ride I got soaked.
5. I'm not coming...it's too hot.

As I said the Summer riding season can be a challenge to deal with here in South Florida. I tried very hard to keep the activity level up, but there are just so many indoor things to do that we all enjoy. I'll be happy to see attendance once again raise and the enjoyment level along with it. Maybe it's because today was one of those days that I had to cancel a ride due to weather that has cause this Summertime Blues.

I would like to thank all the Knights that came out in the heat and rain to be with their club....you guys ROCK.

I know we have great plans for the next few months and hope to see all the Knights I have missed this Summer. To start off this fall season I hope to see all the Knights at the 3rd anniversary party!!! It's going to be a blast. We also have a big fundraising event in the plans this year, so keep your ears open for upcoming news!

At this time we have NEW large patches.. If you'd like to have a club vest let me know.

Diving can be a wonderful experience, but it takes you out of your element and puts you somewhere that can be very dangerous!! When you go diving or snorkeling always go with someone who knows the rope and you can trust with your life...like Force-E Dive Centers. The best dive center there is.

Skip & Cathy CommagereSkip and Cathy are the owners of the three Force-E Scuba Centers located in Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, and Riviera Beach. Skip started his diving career at the first YMCA Scuba Diving Certification course in Atlanta, GA and later became a Dive Instructor in 1961. In 1975, Skip and Cathy met and Cathy started diving here in Florida. The first Force-E Scuba Center was opened in 1976, and is currently one of the leaders in the dive community in South Florida to offer retail, training, and dive experiences. When Skip and Cathy go diving, their favorite dive site is the ledges in Delray called the Snapper Hole. Cathy loves diving in her new Aqua Lung Lotus i3 BCD and Skip loves to dive in all the equipment he sells at Force-E.

Roland Martins Marina in Clewiston

For the most part this was a great day!! Yes, a little warm and some did get wet on the way home, but we still got a good ride in. The food and atmosphere at the Tiki is always good and biker friendly.

Skip Commagere said" Pretty good lunch. Great company."

PGR mission

Some of the Knights came out to support the Patriot Guard Riders. The mission was at a funeral home. Thanks again for all the great work you do as a Knights!!!

Gun show

After a nice breakfast at Hillary's, a few Knights headed over to the Gun show. The gun show had the usual stuff, but you can't get out of there without spending a little....sometimes a lot. Thanks Rich and Marc for coming out!!

Marc Sultan said" Didn't have what I was looking for maybe the next one."

20TH ANNUAL SOUTH FLORIDA TATTOO EXPO AUGUST 8, 2015

Well we caged it to this one. Still we had a nice time at a very interesting show. We got to see some of the best artist around, I even ran into the guy who did mine many years ago. My wife Sue had a great time and it's always nice to spend the day with the Knights. We had a great lunch after!!

Rich Love said " Let the show begin"

Patriot Guard Mission

The Knights once again came out in support of a fallen hero. I hope everyone knows what great members we have to come out in the heat and help when ever they are called....THANK YOU!!

Celebration of Life for Scott Lord - Wednesday August 12th

A sad day, but I was glad we made it. Scott will be missed by a lot of people. There was a great turn out for him, and a photo was given to everyone that just happened to be when Scott was participating with the Knights.

Viking Said " To our brothers and sisters in the Knights, thank you for coming out to honor Scott's memory. He enjoyed riding with the Knights and along side the Patriot Guard Riders. A special thanks to Will not only for all you do for the Knights, but for being a true and supportive friend. Thank you for your words of encouragement."
Viking

There were some other rides scheduled, but....they got canceled due to weather.
