A mechanic was removing a cylinder-head from the motor of a Harley motorcycle when he spotted a well-known cardiologist in his shop.
The cardiologist was there waiting for the service manager to come take a look at his bike when the mechanic shouted across the garage "Hey Doc, want to take a look at this?"

The cardiologist, a bit surprised, walked over to where the mechanic was working on the motorcycle. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his ha nds on a rag and said, "So Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart, take the valves out, repair any damage, and then put them back in, and when I finish, it works just like new.

So how come I make $39,675 a year, a pretty small salary and you get the really big bucks ($1,695,759) when you and I are doing basically the same work?"

The cardiologist paused, smiled and leaned over, then whispered to the mechanic................................
"Try doing it with the engine running."

I don't ride to be a badass.
I already am one.

I don't ride to impress people.
I do that naturally.
I don't ride to pick up chicks or dudes.
That happens on its own (and btw, guys are always way more intrigued with the bike).
I don't ride to scream "I'm not scared of life."
I'm already terrified of life.
I don't ride to be a rebel.
I was born one.
I ride for ME.
I ride for my sanity.
I ride for fresh air.
I ride to experience life on a different level.
I ride to get away from cell phones, TV, & the Internet.
I ride to meet people.
I ride to meet life.
I ride because it's an adventure.
I ride because every time I finish a route, however long or short, I have accomplished something.
I ride because my freedom is on the open road, not knowing what I'll encounter or how I will deal with it.
I ride because the road is part of me.
I ride because I'm free to dream about anything I want.
I ride to conquer my soul.
I ride to squash my depression.
I ride because it makes me genuinely smile.
I ride because I love the taste of bug guts.
I ride because I love how the weather feels (sunburns, winter burns, pouring rain).
I ride because it teaches me how to prepare for life.
Again, I ride for ME!
